3:45pm | The holiday season is approaching, and that means it’s time to give thanks for what we have and do what we can to help those in need. Not coincidentally, it also means that Holiday Cheer is coming up.

Holiday Cheer is the annual party hosted by local non-profit Children Today, which benefits children and families experiencing homelessness in the Long Beach area. The organization provides assistance in the form of childcare and career planning, as well as mental health counseling and locating housing. Many of the programs and services provided by Children Today are sponsored by Holiday Cheer. Last year’s event raised over $170,000.

This is the 13th annual event and will feature wine tasting and a silent auction that benefits Children Today programs. Circle the date November 18 on your calendars, when Holiday Cheer will be held from 6:00-9:00pm on the top floor of the Arco Center downtown. Tickets are available now for $110 per person, and you can also buy tickets for drawings or sponsor a child if you’re able.

The top-floor view of the Queen Mary and downtown area are spectacular, and the silent auction items are top-notch, so visit ChildrenToday.org to learn more about Holiday Cheer and spread a little Holiday Cheer.
