Community leaders in the Washington neighborhood will be hosting a virtual holiday celebration on Friday and a parade-style car caravan, featuring Santa Claus, on Saturday.

On Friday, from 4 to 6 p.m., attendees are invited to virtually play games, listen to music, enter a raffle and compete in an ugly holiday sweater contest, according to organizers. Click here to register for the free virtual event.

On Saturday starting at 5 p.m., the holiday caravan will roll out starting from the corner of Magnolia Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway. Drivers will parade in decorated vehicles around the streets of the neighborhood that leaders adorned this winter, including Henderson, Pacific, Chestnut, Pine, Cedar and Locust avenues and 14th Street. Organizers ask families to maintain social distance and wear masks if they come outside.
