Today is opening day of the LA Galaxy’s season—and Long Beach Transit (LBT) has partnered with the StubHub Center, home to the Galaxy, to provide free shuttles to and from rail stations to all home games in 2017.
Thanks in part to a $600K grant from Los Angeles Metro, The Galaxy Express operates every 10 minutes beginning 90 minutes before kickoff and runs through the game’s 15th minute. The shuttle will then operate for 45 minutes after the game ends. Galaxy Express will pick-up soccer fans from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center, 731 W. 182nd St., Gardena and the Del Amo Station of the Metro Blue Line, 20220 Santa Fe Ave.in Los Angeles.
“Fans can take the Silver Line and Blue Line respectively to the stations or park and ride for free,” said Kevin Lee of LBT. “They won’t have to pay for stadium parking. They won’t have to spend the time or deal with stadium traffic.”
Let the good times roll, football lovers.
