Two people were critically injured Tuesday afternoon when a vehicle crashed into a hotel in Bellflower, authorities said.

The crash was reported about 3:30 p.m. in the 10400 block of East Alondra Boulevard, which is near McNab Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which reported that the vehicle struck the two-story building.

The fire department did not report the name of the hotel, but there is a Value Inn at the location.

Security camera footage obtained by KTLA shows the car speeding across the parking lot before slamming into a room.

In addition to the two critical patients, one person sustained minor injuries, according to a fire department dispatcher.

The two seriously injured patients were the car’s driver and the son of the hotel manager, KTLA reported. The hotel manager was the third person hurt, but he’s been released from the hospital, a relative told KTLA.

Investigators were working to determine what caused the crash.
