Two boys were arrested on suspicion of carrying loaded firearms early Sunday morning, police said.

The juveniles were booked on firearm related charges, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Police said that at approximately 12:17 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 100 block of South Pine Avenue in regard to reports of a group of seven juveniles, one of which was seen loading a firearm, according to police.

After detaining the group, officers found one male juvenile was in possession of a loaded, unserialized Polymer 80 firearm and another male juvenile had a loaded, unregistered Glock handgun, police said.

Their names were not released because they are under 18.

Both boys were transported to the Long Beach City Jail for booking on firearm related charges, with no bail set, according to the LBPD.

Officers cited the remaining five juveniles for curfew violations and released them, police said.
