Lucky Chopsticks Chinese Food & Pho restaurant in West Long Beach was damaged during a significant fire Thursday, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched to 1320 W. Willow St. at 12:15 p.m. and found the restaurant ablaze with “heavy fire,” according to LBFD spokesman Jack Crabtree.

More than 40 firefighters between seven engines and two trucks extinguished the fire within 15 minutes, Crabtree said. That level of deployment made the blaze a second-alarm fire.

The fire did not spread to other businesses within the strip mall, which includes a hair and nail salon and a money transfer service, Crabtree said.

No injuries were reported and investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, Crabtree said.
