Multiple lanes on both sides of the 405 Freeway were shut down this morning when a crash ended with a big-rig stuck on the center divider near the 710 Freeway, according to the CHP.

Fuel from the truck and a load of pipes it was carrying spilled into the lanes, according to a CHP dispatch log. It appeared one of the pipes hit another car, according to a commuter stuck in traffic.

Two people suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to the Long Beach Fire Department. One of them was taken to a local hospital, but the other declined treatment, LBFD spokesman Brian Fisk said.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. It wasn’t immediately clear what caused it or when lanes would reopen.
