Seven people were hospitalized Tuesday night following a multi-vehicle traffic collision on the northbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach, authorities said.

The traffic collision occurred sometime before midnight on the northbound 710 Freeway, just south of the 91 Freeway, Long Beach Fire Department Captain Jack Crabtree said.

When Long Beach Fire personnel arrived at the scene, they witnessed multiple vehicles involved in the crash, including one car that had overturned, according to the LBFD.

Six patients were transported to a local hospital by Basic Life Support units, while one person with more serious injuries was transported by paramedics.

No further details were immediately available.
