A 26-year-old man who was found dead in the area of East Artesia Boulevard and the Los Angeles River in North Long Beach has been identified, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said Monday.

The body of Juve Medina Morales, 26, was found around 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 26 after the Long Beach police department responded to the area regarding a report of a dead body.

Personnel with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office also responded to the scene and determined that Morales was homeless.

An autopsy is pending to determine his cause of death.
