Authorities identify woman killed in fiery 405 Freeway crash
Authorities today identified a woman who died after her car collided with a freeway sign and guardrail in Long Beach on Nov. 26.
Officers responded around 9 p.m. to reports of a Chrysler 300 sedan engulfed in flames near a southbound lane of Lakewood Boulevard and the northbound 405 Freeway on-ramp.
Stephanie Osborne, 37, whose residence remains unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene, according Los Angeles County coroner’s office and a news release.
According to the coroner’s office, the medical examiner is investigating the cause of death further, as it’s not clear whether Osborne died as a result of the collision or some other medical emergency.
