A search was being conducted today for amissing diver off the coast of Huntington Beach.
The diver went missing near the Elly oil platform at around 10:30 a.m.Sunday.
The U.S. Coast Guard was assisting local agencies including the Long Beach Fire Department, which responded to the area where the diver went missing.
“Coast Guard air and surface assets along with local partner agencies are actively searching for a missing diver in the vicinity of platform Elly off the coast of Huntington Beach,” the USCG tweeted at 12:40 p.m.

The diver was part of a group, according to multiple media reports.
