More than 750 veterans and military spouses are expected to board the Queen Mary Thursday for the opportunity to meet and mingle with representatives from nearly 40 military-friendly companies looking to hire those who served our country. 

RecruitMilitary, the country’s top veteran-recruiting firm, is hosting the free job fair in Long Beach as its Los Angeles stop this year, furthering the organization’s efforts to answer the nation’s Veteran Hiring Challenge, which seeks to assist in military-to-civilian transitions. Last year, the L.A.-area event was held at Dodger Stadium.

Local and national employers such as Airstreams Renewables, Verizon Communications, Southern Wine and Spirits, Home Depot, Amtrak National Passenger Corp. and Bank of America will all be on hand to connect with attendees, many of which already have open positions listed on RecruitMilitary’s online job board.

The Los Angeles Area Veterans Job Fair will take place Thursday, October 10 from 11AM-3PM on the Queen Mary
