Continuing the success of their event series honoring local greatness, the Long Beach Post and Choura Events have partnered with the California Women’s Conference to proudly present 30 Women to Watch, their latest event that will honor 30 Long Beach women who are altering the local scene with their own definition of womanhood.

The event is to be held on Saturday, September 22 from 7PM to 10PM at The Grand and will serve as a locally focused kick-off for the California Women’s Conference, itself a statewide gathering of inspiring female leaders that is taking place the following two days at the Long Beach Convention Center.

The winners of 30 Women to Watch will be chosen by a panel of community judges–from the more than 200-plus (and counting!) nominations made through lbpost.com–and announced at the event. Among the judges is Michelle J. Patterson, Executive Director of the California Women’s Conference.

This event aims to highlight the importance of women in the progression of our community and will honor those who bring their multifaceted, dynamic and ever-evolving contributions to our city and are steering us into a better future.

Readers can continue to nominate the women who inspire them until 11:59PM on September 14, 2012.

Tickets to the 30 Women to Watch event are $40 (includes food and drink) and can be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets.
