Forecasters say there’s a 60-70% chance of rain in Long Beach Sunday night into Monday, potentially bringing some relief to what has been a very dry year.
There’s a 20% chance of rain Sunday morning, a 70% chance of rain Sunday night and 60% chance of rain Monday before noon. Skies should clear up in the days that follow.
The National Weather Service said highs should remain in the mid-60s throughout the week and the early part of next week. Temperatures are expected to climb into the lower 80s by late next week.
Long Beach has received roughly 4.5 inches of rain this year, just 38% of normal for this time of year.
