Long Beach Water Department crews were busy making repairs after a water main break flooded Seventh Street between Cedar Avenue and Chestnut Avenue Wednesday.

The main broke at 827 Pacific Avenue, but water flowed down the roadway to Ninth Street, Pacific Avenue and Cedar Avenue, LBWD spokeswoman Kaylee Weatherly said.

The water pooled on Seventh Street between Cedar Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, closing down part of the street. The road reopened Wednesday afternoon, but crews were scheduled to continue making repairs at Pacific Avenue for at least a few more hours.
