11:30am | On Saturday, October 22, the Community Hospital Long Beach Foundation will hold its annual Condit Spirit Awards at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach with a 1940s USO theme. Dr. and Mrs. Richard Wigod will be recognized for their significant charitable gift support and the Community Hospital Long Beach Auxiliary will be recognized for its volunteer service. The awardees have enabled Community Hospital Long Beach (CHLB) to continue to provide quality health care services and programs for the diverse needs of the community. The awardees have donated millions of dollars and millions of volunteer hours to help CHLB connect the members of the community to better health.
The Condit Spirit Award was created to recognize people in the community who have made a positive impact on CHLB. The Award was named after former Long Beach Mayor Fillmore Condit, whose charitable gift in 1924 helped make CHLB a reality. Serving the east side of Long Beach and neighboring communities, CHLB is a major provider of personalized health care with an active emergency department and a focus on adult medicine.
All proceeds from the Condit Spirit Awards will benefit the Community Dreams Fund: Focusing on Today, Planning for Tomorrow, which ensures that CHLB continues to provide quality healthcare by optimizing the latest medical technologies and providing services and programs for the diverse needs of the community.
The event will feature a cocktail reception, a gala dinner, awards ceremony, entertainment with the Swing Dolls and a silent and live auction, which will be presided over by the honorable
Don Knabe, Supervisor, Fourth District, Los Angeles County and Randy Gordon, President of the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce.
The cocktail reception and silent auction begin at 6:00pm, followed by dinner, awards, and live auction at 7:30pm. Tickets are $175 per person and parking is included. For reservations and more information, please visit conditspiritawards.com or call the CHLB Foundation at (562) 494-0576.
