Long Beach police are investigating a shooting Wednesday night in North Long Beach that was sparked by an argument.
Officers responded to a call about shots fired in the area of 64th Street and Cherry Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. There, they found two men who said they were inside a vehicle when they got into an argument with another man who was on foot. The argument then led to the shooting and the gunman fled the scene before officers got there, police spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez said.
Officers found evidence of a shooting in the area, including bullet casings and what looks like bullet impact on the victim’s vehicle, De Prez said.
The victims were not injured in the shooting and police do not yet know if they knew the gunman.
