A man suffered a minor injury from a stray round fired during a fight he had nothing to do with on Tuesday, according to Long Beach police.

They said it happened at about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday on Redondo Avenue near 10th Street.

A woman and a man — whom police described as a suspect — were involved in a fight when another man fired a shot, striking a third man nearby who was uninvolved, police said.

“The victim sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by LBFD (Long Beach Fire Department),” according to a police statement. “Both suspects were taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.”
