UPDATE | Today, the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) announced it is seeking the public’s help in their investigation of the 62-year-old man found dead in an RV near the Long Beach Traffic Circle on Sunday morning.

According to police, the man died from a “fatal injury to his torso,” and the coroner’s office confirmed he was stabbed.

As reported earlier, officials believe he was a resident of Long Beach for a short amount of time. They also believe the RV had been parked in the location in which it was found, near the traffic circle, since late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

The man’s name is still being withheld, pending notification of next in kin.

No arrests have been reported and the motive for the killing is still unknown.

PREVIOUSLY: Dead Body Found in RV Near Long Beach Traffic Circle was Stabbed

12/7/15 at 1:42PM | The middle-aged man who was found dead in an RV Sunday morning was stabbed, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

No arrests have been made in the case.

According to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), the victim was 62 years old, and the RV in which he was found was parked on the 1700 block of Ximeno Avenue sometime between late Friday night and early Saturday morning. 

He was found at 10:40AM on Sunday. LBPD officials believe he has lived in Long Beach for a short amount of time. 

Police are investigating the assault as a homicide, and a motive for the incident is unknown at this time, the LBPD stated.

PREVIOUSLY: Dead Body Found in RV Near Long Beach Traffic Circle

11:45AM | A dead man in his 50s or 60s was found in an RV in a Long Beach parking lot near the traffic circle on Sunday, according to Long Beach authorities.

The body was discovered on the 1700 block of Ximeno Avenue at 10:40AM, according to Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Identification of the man is pending notification of next of kin, and an autopsy to determine the cause of death is also pending.
