Flower shop evacuated after call about a man with a gun
A call about a man with a gun prompted police officers to evacuate Conroy’s Flowers near Long Beach Exchange on Saturday morning, authorities said.
Police arrived at the scene around 9:20 a.m. and found a suspect intoxicated and in what they believed were military fatigues, police spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria said.
“An evacuation of the flower shop was immediately initiated and the individual was detained and subsequently arrested for a prior misdemeanor warrant,” Chavarria said.
Police did not find any guns after the incident and no one was injured, she said.
