LASD investigating shooting death of man in Lakewood

A man was shot to death inside his vehicle Sunday in Lakewood and sheriff’s deputies were searching for his killer.

The shooting happened around 4 p.m. in the 20600 block of Seine Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. Deputies responded to a shots fired call and found the man shot in his chest inside his vehicle.

Deputies and paramedics performed life-saving efforts but the man died at the scene.

His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

A motive for the shooting was unknown. Deputies were looking for an unspecified four-door vehicle seen leaving the area. However, no suspect description was available at this time.
