Police arrested 2 men Wednesday morning on suspicion of burglarizing a beauty supply store near the Los Altos Shopping Center at Stearns Street and Bellflower Boulevard, officials said.
The store’s private security company contacted Long Beach police around 3:30 a.m. after the burglary happened. LBPD said in an announcement that evidence led them to Hawaiian Gardens where Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies found a stolen vehicle they believe was used in the burglary. Investigators also found about $5,000 of beauty supply merchandise in the vehicle, police said.
Police arrested Omar Nunez, 30, and Isaac Silva, 21, on suspicion of commercial burglary and looting. Silva was also arrested on suspicion of grand theft, receiving known stolen property and stealing a vehicle.
Both men are being held on $50,000 bail. Detectives plan to present their case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Friday.
