Man shot, wounded in Cambodia Town

A man told police he was standing on a sidewalk in Cambodia Town when another man approached him, shot him and fled, officials said.

Officers were first called to the 1000 block of Anaheim Street at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday where they found a man who had gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body, police spokeswoman Allison Gallagher said.

Paramedics took him to a local hospital in stable condition, Gallagher said.

The officers found bullet casings and other evidence in the area. They do not yet have suspect information or know the motive for the shooting.
