miramontesThe 12-year-old Autistic juvenile reported missing on Thursday, December 24 at approximately 10:00AM was located safe and unharmed as of approximately 12:30AM on Friday, December 25, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Antonio Peter Miramontes was found at the Los Angeles Pico Metro Station by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and brought home to his family.

There was no indication of foul play, while Miramontes’ family noted the child, who harbors the mental capacity of a five-year-old, talks about how he likes to ride the train, according to the release. The LBPD thanked the public and the media for helping to locate the youth.

Before Miramontes was located, the LBPD issued a release requesting the public’s help in finding him. The release stated the child was last seen in the area of Mountain View Street and the LA Riverbed and provided a recent photograph of the child and the sweatshirt he might be wearing. Miramontes was described as male, hispanic, with black/brown eyes, 5’2”, of thin build, and wearing a grey sweatshirt with dark blue school uniform pants.
