Detectives have arrested another woman in an August human trafficking case involving a teenage girl from Long Beach, officials said today.
In addition to two arrests in September, police arrested Kerri Muha, a 41-year-old woman from Apple Valley, on Monday. She was booked into jail on suspicion of human trafficking of a victim under 18-years-old and is being held on a $450,000 bail, police said.
When police announced the first arrests earlier this year, they said that three missing teenage girls had been rescued in Long Beach and two of their alleged traffickers, 32-year-old Mycal Ruff and 21-year-old Dezere Romero, had been arrested.
According to court records, Ruff and Romero have since pleaded not guilty to three counts each of human trafficking of a minor and are being held on $450,000 and $470,000 bails, respectively.
