A high-speed pursuit ended on the Recreation Park Golf Course Monday afternoon where a helicopter landed on the grass to help take two men into custody, live footage of the chase showed.

The chase began in the Anaheim area when authorities began pursuing a truck that was believed to be stolen, KCAL9 reported.

The chase wound its way along local freeways until the truck’s driver exited the 22 Freeway where it ends in Long Beach, footage from KCAL9 showed.

The truck briefly continued at freeway speeds along westbound Seventh Street before authorities backed off. Two people then jumped out of the truck at Santiago Avenue and Eighth Street before running onto the Recreation Park Golf Course around 3:30 p.m.

They ran for a while across the course before slowing to a walk. A CHP motorcycle officer soon arrived, and a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter landed on the grass so its crew could help take the two suspects into custody, footage from KCAL9’s helicopter showed.
