A man is dead and two others have been hospitalized following a shooting in Long Beach’s Wrigley neighborhood Sunday evening, police said.

The shooting was reported at 7:21 p.m. in the area of 29th Street and Chestnut Avenue, according to Long Beach police Lt. Gerrit DeJongh.

There, officers located a man suffering from injuries to the upper and lower body, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the man to a local hospital where he later died, authorities said. His identity was not immediately revealed publicly as authorities work to notify his relatives, police said.

Shortly after, authorities located two other men involved in the shooting that had injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said. They were also taken to a local hospital for treatment, authorities  said.

Though authorities are still actively investigating the crime, including looking into a motive, police say the shooting  was the result of an altercation among the three.

In a statement Monday afternoon, police said the shooting was not a random act of violence and there are also no outstanding suspects.
