MARCH 24 1:58PM  |  Three Long Beach women allegedly involved in a hit-and-run of an Anaheim waitress on Sunday were charged Tuesday, officials said.

The hit-and-run occurred at 6:22PM Sunday outside the Mexico Lindo Que Rico restaurant on the 10900 block of Magnolia Street in Anaheim, where the three women and one additional suspect were eating before taking off without paying their bill, said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Lloyd Downing.

The 28-year-old waitress ran out to the parking lot to confront the four suspects, when they ran her over with a black Volkswagen Jetta with paper plates, Downing said.

The four suspects were later found at a Motel 6 in Stanton and were arrested.

Santeea Munay Ralph, 23, Shyteice Lashay Miles, 19, and Markeisha Michelle Williams, 18, were each charged Tuesday with a misdemeanor count of defrauding an innkeeper at the Santa Ana Courthouse on Tuesday.

The women face up to six months in jail if convicted.

Rowshaid Cordell Pellum, 24, of Cerritos, who allegedly drove the car that ran over the waitress before fleeing, was charged with aggravated assault and hit-and-run with injury, both felonies, and a misdemeanor count of defrauding an innkeeper.

Pellum faces up to four years and eight months in prison if convicted.

Pellum and Ralph were scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon. Arraignment for Miles and Williams has yet to be scheduled.

MARCH 23 12:17PM  |  Three Long Beach women were arrested Monday for their alleged involvement in a hit-and-run that injured an Anaheim waitress who had confronted the suspects about not paying their bill.

The hit-and-run occurred at 6:22PM Sunday outside the Mexico Lindo Que Rico restaurant on the 10900 block of Magnolia Street, where the three women and one additional suspect were eating before taking off without paying their bill, said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Lloyd Downing.

The 28-year-old waitress ran out to the parking lot to confront the four suspects, when they ran her over with a black Volkswagen Jetta with paper plates, Downing said.

The car ran over the waitress’ legs, but they were not broken. She was transported to UCI Medical Center with abrasions and bruises.

Following the collision, the suspects continued driving in the Jetta.

“It wasn’t a smart idea for her to go out and confront them,” Downing said. “That wasn’t an accident. They weren’t getting away. They wanted her out of the way.”

Deputies patrolling the Stanton area at about 1:00AM Monday saw a similar black Volkswagen sedan in the parking lot of a Motel 6 on the 7400 block of Katella Avenue, said Sheriff’s Lt. Jeffrey Hallock.

“Following a preliminary investigation, it was determined the vehicle was connected to the incident at the Mexico Lindo Restaurant, and the four suspects were staying at the motel,” Hallock said. “Deputies made contact with the four suspects at the motel, and, following their investigation, determined they were involved in the incident.”

Three Long Beach women, including 18-year-old Markeisha Williams, 19-year-old Shyteice Miles and 23-year-old Santeea Ralph were arrested in connection to the incident. In addition, 24-year-old Rowshaid Pellum of Cerritos was arrested, and is believed to have been the driver.

All four suspects were booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and defrauding an innkeeper. Each was held on $25,000 bail, Hallock said. All are expected to appear in court on Tuesday in Santa Ana.
