Three people, including one possible pastor, sustained non-life threatening injuries after shots were fired at them in North Long Beach early this morning.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers responded to the area of 59th St. and Deforrest Ave. regarding a shooting around 12:02AM, said LBPD spokeswoman Megan Zabel.

Upon arrival, police discovered that two men and one woman were fired upon while standing outside a residence. All three victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and are in stable condition.

Although the LBPD said they could not confirm details about the victims’ personal lives, other media are reporting two of them were a pastor from a Lakewood church and his wife.

No suspects are in custody and the incident is being investigated as gang-related. No other information was available. We will update this story as we learn more.
