This month, state Assemblyman Patrick O’Donnell (D-Long Beach) held his annual Distinguished Teachers of the Year awards ceremony, now in its sixth year. O’Donnell is a teacher who is also the chair of the Assembly Education Committee.
This year’s ceremony was held virtually on June 12, so Long Beach and San Pedro teachers were honored the way they spent much of their jobs recently: via Zoom.
Congratulations to all of our 6th Annual Distinguished Teachers of the Year honorees. I appreciate the inspirational way each of you showed great resilience to help our students during these challenging times.
