Five people were injured in a traffic collision Tuesday night in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Walnut Avenue, authorities said.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers and Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel responded to the scene of the collision involving at least two vehicles at about 9:30, said LBPD spokesperson Marlene Arrona.

Four people were transported to a local hospital and an additional person was treated and released at the scene, said LBFD spokesperson Brian Fisk.
