For those attending (or avoiding) the 41st Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, the City has provided the following list of street closures to help you navigate downtown with the least amount of stress possible. Take heed, the closures start as early as noon today, Thursday, for the pit stop demonstrations, freestyle motocross and car show of the annual Thunder Thursday festival.

Closures for the annual Thunder Thursday festival, which helps kick-off race weekend, will start at noon today, Thursday, April 16, with Pine Ave. to be closed from 1st to 3rd St. and Broadway to be closed from Pacific Ave. to Long Beach Blvd., with one lane remaining open until 5:30PM.

Friday, April 17

Starting at 6:00AM, access to the Hyatt, Shoreline Village and the Shoreline Marina from Ocean Blvd. and Pine Ave. will close. Southbound Pine Ave. will close to all traffic. Access to the south side of the track will be provided at the intersection of Ocean Blvd. and Alamitos Ave. and will only be available to Grand Prix passholders and boat owner permits. Close interior streets of The Pike, north of Shoreline Drive.

At 7:00PM Pine Ave. will be opened for traffic to access the Hyatt, Shoreline Village and Shoreline Marina. Valet Parking will be available for guests dining at waterfront restaurants, while Shoreline Village will have parking available as well. All vehicles entering at Pine Ave. will exit to the east through the Marina Green parking lot, directional signage will be posted for traffic to follow. At 9:30PM the Ocean Blvd. and Alamitos Ave. entry access route will close.

Saturday, April 18

Starting at 6:00AM access to the Hyatt, Shoreline Village and the Shoreline Marina from Ocean Blvd. and Pine Avenue will close. Southbound Pine Ave. will close to all traffic. Access to the south side of the track will be provided at the intersection of Ocean Blvd. and Alamitos Ave. and will only be available to Grand Prix passholders and boat owner permits. Close interior streets of The Pike, north of Shoreline Drive.

Starting at 7:00PM Pine Ave. will be opened for traffic to access the Hyatt, Shoreline Village and Shoreline Marina tenants. At 5:00PM traffic flow will be restored to both east and west bound Shoreline Drive; northbound Queensway Bridge off ramp, southbound Queensway Bridge on ramp from Shoreline Drive, east and west bound Seaside way; north and south bound Pine Ave., including Pine Ave. Circle; north and south bound Shoreline Village Drive; and all service roads and internal streets of The Pike facility.
