Former secretary of state, first lady and current presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be speaking Monday at Long Beach City College (LBCC) in an event open to the public, LBCC spokeswoman Stacey Toda confirmed Friday.

Her appearance comes just a day before the June 7 presidential primary in California, where Clinton will face off against Vermont senator Bernie Sanders for a share of the state’s 475 democratic delegates.

According to an internal email sent to students, faculty and staff Friday evening, Clinton will kick off a campaign rally in the gymnasium at LBCC (Building R) at 6:00PM.

The doors will open at 4:00PM, and the parking lots immediately adjacent to the gymnasium will be closed all day (lots K, L, and P).

Those wishing to attend the rally are encouraged to give themselves extra time for travel for traffic and congestion around the campus.

This article was updated to include the new time of the event, with doors opening at 4:00PM and the event commencing at 6:00PM (as opposed to 2:00PM and 4:00PM).
