With Thanksgiving just a few days away, it’s legitimately beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Long Beach. On Friday night, about 100 people gathered at The Pike Outlets for the first-ever opening of Holiday Ice rink sponsored by the Los Angeles Kings.

The celebration—filled with carolers, families ice skating and a train ride around the shopping center—started at 5:00PM on Friday, November 18. Children awaited the arrival of Santa Claus, rushing as the man in the big red suit finally arrived with the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD). Each took turns, sharing with him their exact Christmas wishes.

The official lighting of the 30-foot holiday tree brightened the plaza and filling the rest of the evening with holiday joy.
