The Long Beach Police Department’s gang enforcement unit is looking into an altercation that sent a man to the hospital with stab wounds early Tuesday morning.

Police were called at 4:30 a.m. to the 700 block of Maine Avenue in Downtown Tuesday on a report that a man was stabbed in the upper torso.

Preliminary investigation showed the victim and three adult males were involved in the incident which led to the stabbing. Police said the wounds appeared non-life-threatening.
