Editor’s note: Police said Wednesday that Jenkins had been found safe.

A 64-year-old man with an unspecified medical condition was reported missing today in Long Beach — the second time in less than two months.

Freddie D. Jenkins was last seen Sept. 25 in the 300 block of Atlantic Avenue at around 2 p.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Jenkins was described as a 5-foot-5-inch tall Black man weighing 180 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He also has missing front teeth and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, pants, black socks, red shoes and walking with a black-and-white cane.

Jenkins also went missing in August, prompting police to issue a similar alert. In that case, he was found unharmed a few days after he disappeared, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jenkins was urged to contact the LBPD missing persons detail at 562-570-7246 or police dispatch at 562-435-6711.
