Long Beach Assemblymember Patrick O’ Donnell will be hosting a town hall this Saturday, May 14 from 11:00AM to 12:30PM at the Expo Arts Center regarding Long Beach residents’ transition from Verizon Communications to Frontier Communications, his office announced last week.
Long Beach residents made the official switch last month, for internet, video and FiOS services.
“Reliable phone, cable and internet are not just conveniences, they are essential to our daily life,” said O’Donnell in a statement. “A business suffers when they are unable to process payments, homeowners are left vulnerable when security systems fail, and lives are at stake when access to 911 is cut.”
At the town hall, residents will have the chance to resolve any service issues by talking directly to representatives from Frontier Communications and the California Public Utilities Commission, a release from O’Donnell’s office said.
“My office has been assisting Frontier customers since the beginning, but it was also important to offer the community a chance to connect directly with Frontier and state regulators to resolve any ongoing issues,” said O’Donnell in a statement.
To RSVP, call the Assemblymember’s District Office at 562.429.0470 or email [email protected].
The Expo Arts Center is located at 4321 Atlantic Ave.
