A man was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition after someone stabbed him from behind in the Wrigley area in Long Beach early Sunday morning, according to police.
At around 12:18 a.m., police said they found the man at the 2200 block of Pine Avenue, near Hill Street, suffering from stab wounds to the upper body.
The victim told police “he was walking near the area when an unknown male suspect approached him from behind and stabbed him.”
Police are investigating the incident and don’t have a motive for the stabbing at this time.
