Police are investigating a stabbing in North Long Beach that left a man hospitalized Friday night.

Officers were notified of the stabbing just after 11 p.m. and responded to the 400 block of East Market Street in the Addams neighborhood, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

There, authorities found the man suffering from injuries to the upper body and transported him to a local hospital, police said. He is expected to survive.

Investigators later learned that the man was arguing with his roommate when the roommate stabbed him and fled the scene, according to police. No other suspect information was available.
