An 85-year-old man who went missing Wednesday during a routine walk to Downtown Long Beach was found safe early Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Leonard Webb Jr. was discovered near Sixth Street and the 710 Freeway around 2:40 a.m. and has been reunited with his family, police said.

An 85-year-old man left his home on Wednesday morning to go on a routine walk to Downtown Long Beach and has been missing since, police said Friday.

Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help finding Leonard Webb Jr., who indicated he was going to Downtown Long Beach from his home in the 1300 block of West 34th Street. Detectives were told that he routinely walks the distance, but he was recently diagnosed with a medical condition that may cause him to become disoriented, the department said.

Webb was described as a black man who is 5-foot-11, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve denim button-down shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a white cowboy hat. He has a burn scar on his right hand and wears a wedding band.
