Police investigating early morning killing in West Long Beach

Homicide detectives are investigating a deadly stabbing Monday morning in West Long Beach, according to police.

Authorities said a woman wounded in the stabbing on Wardlow Road just west of Santa Fe Avenue was rushed to the hospital around 7:40 a.m. She died from her wounds, according to the LBPD.

Officers had a home on Wardlow Road cordoned off for the investigation, but details about what they found when they arrived weren’t immediately available.
