This year, Deputy Public Defender George Moyer and Deputy District Attorney Nicholas Liddi are both seeking to unseat incumbent City Prosecutor Doug Haubert in a three-way race featuring a spectrum of competing views on how the justice system should function.

Whoever wins will be one of the most powerful law enforcement officials in Long Beach, responsible for prosecuting all misdemeanor cases in the city.

On Tuesday, April 26, Haubert, Liddi and Moyer answered questions from the Long Beach Post’s managing editor and senior reporter in the third of our debates leading up to the June 7 primary.
