Several parked cars were damaged late Saturday night in a shooting, the latest in a spate of violence in the Central Long Beach area.

No one was injured in the most recent shooting, which happened around 11:45 p.m. at Myrtle Avenue near 23rd Street. Several neighbors reported hearing over a dozen gunshots, and police found several parked cars that had been struck by bullets.

Police said they didn’t find any victims or witnesses, and the shooter or shooters were still at large. The motive is unknown, police said.

It was not immediately clear whether the violence Saturday night was connected to four gunfire-related calls that police responded to on Friday night.

No one was killed in the violence from Friday, but police said two children were in a car that was struck by gunfire.
