A photo of guns with writing that warned people not to come to a Long Beach high school was posted on social media before it was quickly retracted Monday evening, police said.
The 20-year-old, who has trouble communicating, spent a night in jail and was charged with a felony over an email that all sides now agree was never meant as a threat.
Detectives do not believe there is any threat to the school.
Authorities didn’t reveal the content of the message but said it was AirDropped to a Poly student’s phone.
The threats were made on social media, police said.
