Belmont Shore will get increased security along 2nd Street in response to crime concerns

The private security group contracted to watch Second Street will now patrol the area seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Members of the Conservation Corps Long Beach work on landscaping projects in a center median on Second Street. Funding for their contract and projects are funded by parking meter revenue along the corridor, which is managed by The Belmont Shore Parking and Business Improvement Area Advisory Commission.
