The man accused of going on a stabbing spree in Long Beach was not homeless, but that hasn’t stopped some city officials from spreading that narrative.
Prosecutors now say the suspect in Monday’s stabbing spree has eight victims, including two he allegedly attacked with a knife two days earlier.
A councilwoman is also criticizing the police department, saying it shouldn’t have taken hours to alert people about the stabbings.
Several attacks happened within a short span of time before police took a man into custody at Alamitos Beach. Video posted to Instagram shows him wielding a knife as he chases a man across the sand.
