Two pedestrians were injured just after midnight Wednesday when a man driving a white pickup truck crashed into a North Long Beach business and fled the scene, authorities said.

Officers were called to the scene at 12:20AM on Wednesday, July 13 on the 4900 block of Long Beach Boulevard, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.

Police discovered a man had driven a white Dodge or Toyota pickup truck into a business, reversed and then had fled the scene in the vehicle, she said.

The two adult pedestrians were involved in the incident but sustained only minor injuries. They were treated at the scene by Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel but were not transported to a local hospital, according to authorities.

The investigation remains ongoing.
