UPDATE Monday, May 23, 6:24pm | Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Lisa Massacani announced that the department’s public forum on identity theft scheduled for this Thursday has been cancelled.
It has not yet been rescheduled, she said.

Thursday, May 19, 6:01pm | The Long Beach Police Department is hosting a community leadership forum next Thursday to discuss and educate the public about identity theft.
Hosted by LBPD’s South Division Cmdr. Joe Stilinovich, the meeting will be held in the community room on the first floor of LBPD headquarters from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 26
In addition to identity theft, those in attendance will have the opportunity to partake in a discussion on community problems and learn information regarding crime trends.
While the information provided and discussed will focus on the LBPD’s South Division, which is bounded by Anaheim Street on the north, Cherry Avenue to the east, the ocean to the south and the 710 Freeway to the west, residents and business owners from throughout the city are invited to attend.

LBPD headquarters is located at 400 W. Broadway. Parking is available on the street or in the structure on the southeast corner of Chestnut Avenue and Broadway.
