Kenny McBride, 38, will play guitar on stage for the first time with his band Plasma Pool at DiPiazza’s on Thursday. McBride, who has painted murals at Washington Middle School and elsewhere, needs a stem cell transplant to beat a rare form of cancer.

Burglar stabs man inside his Alamitos Beach home, police say
