Sports is or are clearly in the toy department of life and, well, entertainment is the barometer with which we measure the return on the investment, be it donations or time spent.
Long Beach High School Basketballers Nominated To Play In McDonald’s All-American Games
Four Long Beach high school basketball players—two from St. Anthony and two from Poly—were among 814 across the country nominated to play in this year’s men’s and women’s McDonald’s All American Games.
Tennis Champs Get Back In The Swing With Beach Invitational
As much as we all enjoy drama with our Niner athletics, I plead guilty to actually donating to and attending Long BeachState tennis matches. The drama—well there is a documented intra-sport war with the well funded basketball programs, the historic women volleyball team, the cult-ish men’s volleyball, and the passionate folks who swear on water polo, golf, track etc.

The Jackrabbits and their 104-year-old football history are the centerpiece of the book, but Guardabascio, co-editor of the Gazette Newspapers’ sports section, also sheds light on the football achievements of the other Moore League schools.
